Company SmartKits house your company's master kit and all other team members Kit lists. Master kits serve as a library of standard or customized SmartKits for your team to either default-to, duplicate, or use for similar projects. It allows you to copy kits created by other team members from their list to your own when doing equivalent jobs, allowing for faster creation of kits. This provides consistency and efficiency for your teams. There is also the ability to edit a kit once it has been created.
Create SmartKits launches the interface to build a completely new kit. After all the required fields are entered. You can then select categories and filter product offerings. We offer hundreds of commonly used items, but can also add new items your team needs by simply contacting your sales rep.
Next, add the quantity for each item you'd like included in your kit. As you add items, the contents of your kit builds in the area on the right of the page in the gray bar. Your progress is auto saved as you work. When you're done building your kit, enter the quantity you need to order and click add to Cart.
Once you've added your kit list to the cart, you can then proceed to checkout. If you don't have purchasing credentials, you'll see email cart instead of checkout and an email will be sent to your purchasing team.
When Windy City Wire receives your kit order, it's processed by our team. All parts are pulled from inventory, counted, and verified. Then each custom SmartKit is built and sealed with a security sticker, palleted, and shipped to your warehouse or job site location. Giving your team all necessary parts needed to complete their installation.
